What is HDMI 2.1 and do I need it?
8K is a higher resolution than 4K—and that's it. 1080p screens have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. 4K screens double those numbers to 3840 x 2160p and quadruple the number of pixels. 8K doubles the numbers again, to a resolution of 7680 x 4320. That's four times the number of pixels as 4K, which means it is 16 times sharper that of a 1080p TV which is commonly known as HD.
Most consumers looking at these cables will have a QLED 8K TV or similar, or are into PC Gaming to a MSi, Dell, Alienware, HP, Asus or Sony Monitor perhaps; that supports 4k/120hz also.
